Step into A Garden Reverie—an editorial styled shoot designed to celebrate the beauty of nature through intentional design, organic movement, and timeless romance.

On Saturday, August 9th, we’ll gather at the stunning Big Spring Farm in Lexington, Virginia, where lush gardens, tranquil water views, and rolling countryside provide the perfect backdrop for a one-of-a-kind creative experience.

This shoot is centered around the idea that nature itself becomes part of the design. From a winding serpentine reception table with a flowing stream woven through its center to meadow-inspired florals, an immersive ceremony overlooking the pond, and a romantic canoe and picnic editorial, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to inspire elevated storytelling.

Whether you’re building your portfolio, connecting with fellow creatives, or capturing publication-worthy imagery, this experience is designed to provide endless opportunities for artistic expression in an intentionally crafted setting.

Q: What time is the shoot?

A: Shoot time is tbd and will update soon.

Q: Are the florals real or faux?

A: For this shoot, real flowers are used by an expert floral designer. She dedicates herself in her designs that showcases stunning and detailed orientated arrangements. 

Q: Will there be models provided?

A: Yes! There will have two model couples  

- one for the wedding

- one for the canoe and picnic 

We strive to search for real couple models who have previous shoot experience.

Q: Can I bring a photography assistant or second shooter?

A: To maintain a curated and intimate environment, assistants and second shooters are not permitted unless they purchase their own (discounted) ticket. Please reach out directly for second shooter ticket options.

Q: How will the shoot be structured?

A: The shoot will be guided but flexible. You’ll rotate through each setup in small groups to allow for variety and clean shots. There will also be time for flatlays and detail styling.

Q: Can I use these photos in my portfolio and social media?

A: Absolutely! This shoot is designed to help you build portfolio content, attract your dream clients, and share elevated, romantic visuals. Please credit vendors where appropriate.

Q: Do I need to submit my gallery to the event coordinator?

A: Yes! Havanola Design asks that all photographers submit a full gallery within 2 months of the shoot. Our vendors dedicate time and talent to bring the vision to life, and access to galleries ensures they receive quality images of their work. Photographers will be properly credited when images are shared.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Your camera gear, any favorite lenses, styled flatlay tools if desired, and your creative eye. Dont forget your water and light snacks!
